Ouagadougou: The municipality of Soudougui hosted a budget session on Wednesday in the town hall meeting room, chaired by the president of the special delegation (PDS), Nebgniga Ouedraogo. This session, which included the adoption of the initial 2026 budget, also served as an opportunity to present certificates of recognition to employees in the health and education sectors, as well as to celebrate the retirement of several municipal employees.
According to Burkina Information Agency, in his opening address, the President of the Democratic and Socialist Party (PDS) commended and paid tribute to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), as well as the population and all the administrations of the Soudougui commune. He expressed his gratitude for their bravery, determination, and courage in the face of numerous challenges, particularly the persistent insecurity in the region. Mr. Nebgniga recalled that despite these difficulties, the commune’s stakeholders have always worked for the well-being of the population. He encouraged everyone to strengthen solidarity and cohesion to restore peace to the area.
During the session, eight officers were honored with a certificate of recognition for their outstanding contribution to the health and education sectors. Among them, a certificate was awarded to the Police Station in Soudougui, which was completing its mission after thirty-eight years of loyal service to the community.
The head nurse of the Soudougui Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS), KOITA Niamangolo, spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries to thank the special delegation and the entire community for this recognition. He promised to continue serving the community with dedication to alleviate the population’s needs.
The ceremony was a powerful moment celebrating the dedication of public servants and highlighted the constant commitment of the community’s stakeholders in often difficult conditions.
