Ouagadougou, A cultural festival dedicated to the rural town of Nandiala, is scheduled from December 17 to 19, 2021, AIB learned on Saturday.
The 1st edition of the “ Festival culture, rhythms and atmospheres of Nandiala ” (FESTICRAN), dedicated to the rural commune of Nandiala, (about twenty kilometers from Koudougou), will take place from December 17 to 19.
This festival aims to give a cultural, artistic and tourist life to the municipality of Nandiala, declared the president of the organizing committee François Combasséré.
“It intends to participate in the strengthening of a culture of living together, of social cohesion, of reconciliation and will focus on the local development of the Center-West region in general and of the municipality of Nandiala in particular”, he added. He specifies.
To listen, Mr. Combasséré, the Center-West region in general and the municipality of Nandiala in particular are full of enormous tourist cultural potential and traditional know-how that deserve to be promoted.
Mr. Combasséré was speaking on Saturday at a press conference presenting the activities on the program for this cultural celebration.
This involves the organization of panels and a conference-debate around the central theme “social cohesion, national reconciliation and local development: what contribution to the emergence of the municipality of Nandiala”.
Added to this are the animation of stands and sales of local and artisanal products from the region, guided tour of the region’s tourist sites, artists’ services, training in management of cultural enterprises and in writing to the declamation of slam, women’s cycling race …
“During the three days of the festival, a rich program, will allow every evening, the performances of artists, musical groups and companies of traditional dances”, suggested Mr. Combasséré.
For him, this festival will also serve as a framework for meetings and exchanges, between professionals from the cultural, political, economic and other worlds, on the theme and also on the possibilities that will allow FESTICRAN to better contribute to the cultural and economic development of the region. municipality of Nandiala.
“I am very happy and proud of the organization of this activity in the municipality of Nandiala”, declared Dr Sotisse Prosper Ouédraogo, mayor of the municipality of Nandiala and sponsor of the 1st edition of FESTICRAN.
He says he sees in the organization of this event, a devoted youth who had the idea to present and improve the visibility of his municipality.
“May the people of Nandiala take ownership of the event. Because our culture is only regressing and I think that it is these kinds of activities that will allow us to find ourselves in our society ”, he noted.
FESTICRAN is the initiative of the Association for Cultural and Tourist Actions of the Center-West (ACT / COS).
As a perspective of sustainability and impact, this festival is a springboard that will position the municipality of Nandiala in the cultural environment of Burkina Faso, according to Mr. Combasséré.
