The 2023 annual subsidy for 100 private press compfes and two structures, amounts to 400 million FCFA.

The committee in charge of distributing this grant examined and ruled on 125 applications, following the call for applications. At the end of the work, 100 private press companies and 02 structures (the Burkinabe Media Observatory (OBM) and the Association of Editors and Publishers of Newspapers in National Languages) were selected.

The private press companies benefiting in 2023 consist of 68 audiovisual presses, 8 French language presses, 4 written presses in national languages and 20 online presses.

The amount of the annual State subsidy for the benefit of the private press amounts to 400,000,000 CFA francs.
