Burkina / Community entrepreneurship: Women in pediatrics Charles De Gaulle made aware of popular shareholding

Ouagadougou: The women’s association of the Charles de Gaulle Pediatric University Hospital Center (AFC), in collaboration with the agency for the promotion of community entrepreneurship (APEC) organized Tuesday, May 7, 2024 , a conference on the theme of community entrepreneurship.

The promotion of community entrepreneurship is a program put in place by the transitional authorities of Burkina Faso, with a view to relaunching the economy in this time of crisis that the country is experiencing.

This program provides for the endogenous financing of major projects, in order to create wealth by the Burkinabés, in the strategic sectors of agriculture, livestock, agri-food, textiles and mining.

For the president of the AFC, Wadba Marie Denise, the strong mobilization of the women of the CHUP-CDG testifies to their support for this presidential initiative whose aim is to bring together all the forces of the country, to promote endogenous development.

Ms. Wadba invited, on the occasion, the members of the associa
tion and the male staff of the CHUP-CDG to massively subscribe to this campaign, the benefits of which will follow even after their retirement.

The director of the promotion of community entrepreneurship, Clémence Zoundi praised the dynamism of the women of CHUP-CDG around development issues in Burkina Faso, particularly those advocated by the transitional authorities.

Ms. Zoundi explained that the objective of the program is to create in 2 years, more than one million direct jobs and three million indirect jobs, with the aim of achieving food self-sufficiency.

The general director of CHUP-CDG, Cyrille Priscille Kaboret/Ouédraogo set an example by subscribing to popular shareholding and thanked the first APEC officials for agreeing to meet the women of the pediatric hospital.

‘This approach will allow them to better understand the concept of community entrepreneurship in order to adhere to it and make their contribution to building a prosperous Burkina Faso,’ said Ms. Kaboret.

Remember that the cost of e
ach share amounts to 10,000 FCFA and the membership fees are 5,000 FCFA. Through this popular mobilization, APEC intends to reach an amount of 100 billion for the establishment of community businesses.
