Burkina Faso and Iran strengthen economic and trade ties to boost growthOuagadougou, September 17, 2024 (AIB) - Businessmen from Burkina Faso and Iran agreed on Tuesday, via videoconference, to strengthen ties of opportunity, explore new economic and commercial avenues and publicize the customs and tax legislation of the two states, in order to stimulate the economic growth of our two nations.At the initiative of the Burkina Faso embassy in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohamadi Kaboré, Burkinabe and Iranian businessmen held on Tuesday, by videoconference, an information and exchange meeting on business opportunities in Burkina Faso and the Islamic Republic of Iran, announced the communications services of the Ministry in charge of Foreign Affairs.According to the same source, the objective of this webinar is to fill the information gap of our businessmen on the opportunities that exist in Burkina Faso and the Islamic Republic of Iran.This meeting is an opportunity for businessmen from both countries to strengthen ties of opportunities, explore new economic and commercial avenues, and publicize the customs and tax legislation of the two states, in order to stimulate the economic growth of our two nations, she said.Among the sectors of interest, Ambassador Kaboré highlighted agriculture, agro-industry, renewable energy, training of experts, as well as technology transfer and innovation.In the diplomat's opinion, these areas could constitute mutual growth opportunities for Burkinabe and Iranian businessmen.Source: Burkina Information Agency
