Ouagadougou: The Council of Ministers in Burkina Faso has adopted a decree to establish the National Agency for the Promotion of Tourism, known as Faso Tourisme, aiming to revitalize the country's tourism sector. This new agency will replace the existing Burkinabe National Tourism Office (ONTB) and is expected to bring new energy and direction to tourism activities in the region.According to Burkina Information Agency, the Minister for Culture and Tourism, Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, announced that the new decree introduces several key innovations designed to enhance the agency's effectiveness in fulfilling its mission. One of the significant changes includes the reconfiguration of the board of directors to incorporate professional tourism organizations, which is expected to expand the agency's capabilities in promoting domestic tourism.Moreover, the newly formed agency will feature a tourism promotion council, an advisory body tasked with providing insights on strategies for both external and inter nal tourism promotion. This council will also focus on developing and enhancing the brand image of Burkina Faso as a tourist destination, as outlined by Minister Ouédraogo.
