Ouagadougou: The Council of Ministers in Burkina Faso has given its approval for the appointment of three new ambassadors representing the Republic of Guinea, the Republic of Congo, and the Kingdom of Norway. This decision was made during a session held on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Council officially approved Ansoumane Camara as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary from the Republic of Guinea to Burkina Faso. This marks a significant step in enhancing bilateral relations between the two nations.

For the Republic of Congo, Gaston Gakosso has been appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Burkina Faso. The acceptance of Gakosso's appointment signifies a commitment to fostering closer ties and cooperation between Burkina Faso and the Republic of Congo.

Furthermore, the Kingdom of Norway's diplomatic representation in Burkina Faso will be led by Knut Langeland, who has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
