Koudougou: The Koudougou Gendarmerie Company and the Sector 10 police station now have new fences and a completely renovated building, thanks to financial support from the Green Hand company. The official handover ceremony for these facilities was held this Friday, November 7, 2025, in Koudougou.
According to Burkina Information Agency, valued at over 220 million CFA francs, this project illustrates the civic and patriotic commitment of the Green Hand company led by Emmanuel Tapsoba, chairman of the board. Specializing in agribusiness and the development of organic products, the company also invests in social and community actions for the benefit of the population, as well as in strengthening the operational capacities of the Defense and Security Forces.
Dr. Dorcel Tapsoba, Managing Director of Green Hand, stated that this initiative aligns with the vision of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, supported by the presidential initiative Faso Mªbo, which promotes social cohesion, security, and local development. He emphasized that peace and stability are essential for sustainable development and reaffirmed Green Hand's commitment to being a responsible and engaged economic actor alongside republican institutions.
One of the major works inaugurated is the fence of the Koudougou Gendarmerie Company, located on a site of approximately four hectares. Before this development, the company faced challenges due to the absence of protective infrastructure, with its barracks frequently being used as pastureland or a passageway, much to the dismay of the staff. The new fence, valued at over 30 million CFA francs, now ensures a secure and dignified working environment, protecting staff, users, and equipment.
Colonel-Major Issa Yaguibou, Deputy Chief of Staff of the National Gendarmerie, symbolically received the keys to the works on behalf of the Chief of Staff of the Gendarmerie. He expressed deep gratitude to Green Hand, praising the company's patriotic commitment and exemplary generosity. The fences, nearly 945 meters long and topped with barbed wire, will enhance staff safety and protect public property.
Mr. Coulibaly, technical advisor at the Ministry of Security, highlighted the importance of this development in improving the working conditions of the security forces. He urged the beneficiaries to maintain the facilities rigorously, emphasizing that preserving the new environment is crucial for improving living conditions and ensuring the safety of the facilities.
The ceremony concluded in an atmosphere of general satisfaction, reflecting the unanimous recognition of the authorities towards Green Hand. Through this action, the company reaffirms its role as a responsible corporate citizen, actively contributing to the strengthening of security and local development in Burkina Faso.
