Ouagadougou: The government of Burkina Faso has unveiled an ambitious program valued at over 11 billion 186 million FCFA aimed at modernizing the country's judicial infrastructure. This comprehensive initiative involves the construction of the Manga High Court and a detention and correctional facility in Sourgoubila, among other significant projects.

According to Burkina Information Agency, details from the Council of Ministers' report dated July 30, 2026, outline specific undertakings to be financed through state resources. These projects include the construction of the Manga High Court, the development of a detention and correctional facility in Sourgoubila, and extensive work on the Court of Appeal of Ouagadougou. The latter encompasses construction, electrical installations, and the monitoring, control, and coordination of the ongoing work.

The financial outlay for these initiatives, exceeding 11 billion 186 million FCFA, will be incorporated into the State budget for the fiscal years 2026 and 2027. This strategic investment is intended to bolster the security of judicial and prison infrastructures, enhance food sovereignty, and manage state rental expenditures more effectively.
