Ouagadougou: The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Mobility in Burkina Faso has reported a 60% implementation rate of its objectives contract for the year 2026, as of June 30. This announcement was made by Minister ‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¡¬°mile Zerbo in Ouagadougou, after a mid-term evaluation conducted by Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ou©draogo.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Minister ‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¡¬°mile Zerbo highlighted several key accomplishments during the first half of the year. These include the issuance of 17,000 civil status documents and over 180,000 secure transport documents. Additionally, there has been a significant reduction of more than 51% in demurrage at various ports.

The minister acknowledged that the challenges encountered have been minimal, primarily involving delays caused by the involvement of multiple stakeholders in achieving certain objectives.

Minister Zerbo also mentioned that the Prime Minister has directed the ministry to maintain and enhance its efforts to improve performance by the end of 2026. “We have been instructed not to rest on our laurels and to continue working so that at the end of the year we can achieve a better rate. It is about working on the difficulties and avoiding delays in the execution of our objectives contract,” he concluded.
