Ouagadougou: Soldiers from the Aboubacar Sangoul© Lamizana General Camp, along with the women from the Green Brigade of the Ouagadougou commune, participated in a sanitation day to clean up their living and working environment. The activity took place on June 25, 2025, and involved weeding, sweeping, and cleaning of gutters to clear the camp of garbage and weeds.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Army Chief of Staff Colonel Hamed Hermann Rouamba stated that this event is part of the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Civic Participation, aiming to strengthen the Army-Nation bond. Colonel Rouamba highlighted that approximately 1,000 participants, including the Green Brigade women, were mobilized for the cleanup. He expressed appreciation for their support, which signifies the municipality's commitment to aid the army.

Colonel Rouamba emphasized that the army gains strength from such gestures of fraternity with the civilian population. He noted that cleaning the living environment enables soldiers to concentrate better on their core mission of defending the territory and protecting the populace. He also expressed hope that this initiative will be institutionalized across all camps and garrisons, underscoring its importance for national reconstruction.

Adama Si©nou, head of the waste collection and sorting service at the public sanitation department of Ouagadougou, remarked that the sanitation operation reflects the cohesion between the population and the army. He praised the initiative's spirit, which fosters closer ties between the civilian population and the military forces.
