Ouagadougou: The Burkinabe Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Quality (ABNORM) organized an information and awareness seminar on quality management for managers of State Public Establishments (EPE) in Ouagadougou on Thursday. The seminar aimed to strengthen governance, improve organizational performance, and increase the satisfaction of public service users.

According to Burkina Information Agency, ABNORM Director General Habraham Somda emphasized the growing demand for reliable, efficient, and results-oriented public services. He asserted that quality is essential for good organization, management, and sustainable performance in public structures.

Somda highlighted that this seminar is part of a resolution from the 22nd General Assembly of State Public Establishments, which advocates for implementing quality management systems to enhance user services. He urged public institution leaders to commit to this dynamic, noting that the success of a quality approach hinges on leadership commitment and staff involvement.

ABNORM is prepared to support public institutions in establishing quality management systems and certification processes. Bakary Sidib©, representing State Public Establishments, praised the initiative, noting that it will improve understanding of quality requirements in public management.

Sidib© stated that integrating quality into management methods improves organizational results, user satisfaction, and the efficient use of public resources. He emphasized that promoting quality aligns with the authorities’ goals to optimize state resources and enhance the effectiveness of public action for national development.
