Burkina Faso Triumphs Over Czech Republic in U17 World Cup Clash


Doha: The Junior Stallions of Burkina Faso secured a crucial victory against the Czech Republic with a 2-1 win in their U17 World Cup Group I match held in Doha. This win revitalizes Burkina Faso’s campaign in a group currently topped by the USA.



According to Burkina Information Agency, Burkina Faso took the lead with a goal from Mohamed Zongo in the 30th minute. However, the Czech team responded quickly, leveling the score just three minutes later through a goal by Skrkon.



In the second half, the Burkinabe team increased their efforts and achieved victory with a decisive goal from Loukman Achraf Tapsoba in the 50th minute. This win comes after their previous defeat to the USA, where they lost narrowly with a score of 0-1.



With this result, Burkina Faso now holds three points in Group I, trailing behind the USA who lead the group with two victories. The Czech Republic also has three points but maintains a superior goal difference. Tajikistan remains at the bottom of the group without any points.



The upcoming matches on November 11 will be pivotal in determining which teams advance to the second round. Burkina Faso will face Tajikistan, while the USA will compete against the Czech Republic.



The FIFA U17 World Cup Qatar 2025 is currently taking place in Doha and will continue until November 27.
