Ouagadougou: The 5th International Conference of Women of Destiny (CIFED) commenced on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the International Center for Evangelization - African Home Mission (CIE-MIA) in Ouagadougou. Focused on the theme 'Conquering Victorious Woman, Arise and Manifest the Reign of God in Your Life, Your Family, Your Nation,' the event aims to fortify the faith of its participants and enhance their involvement in familial and societal roles.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the senior pastor of the Church, Dr. Hortense Karambiri, delivered an opening message titled "Faith, a school of total dependence on God." She described the conference as "a unique opportunity to be strengthened in faith, to be equipped to fulfill one's destiny and to experience a true transformation by the power of God." Dr. Karambiri encouraged attendees to view their presence at the conference as a divine appointment.
She explained that a victorious conqueror is someone who has embraced the teachings of Jesus Christ and lives in the victory achieved through faith. In light of current global challenges such as insecurity, violence, moral decline, and climate change, she called upon women to rise up and embrace their identity as daughters of God. "To rise with one's identity as a daughter of God, with faith in Christ, with the anointing of the Holy Spirit and with the right attitude," she emphasized, urging women to serve as protectors for their families and nations.
Over the course of four days, speakers from various countries will impart their teachings and experiences. Organizers hope participants will depart feeling rejuvenated, spiritually enlightened, and equipped with a renewed vision to make a positive impact on their families and communities.
For the speaker, CIFED is more than just a religious event. "God has a word for this season, for each of us," she asserted, expressing her hope that each participant will undergo a significant transformation. She also expressed gratitude for the successful organization of this fifth edition and acknowledged the support of administrative and religious authorities, as well as the contributions of God's servants, sister assemblies, and intercessors.
Addressing the audience, Dr. Karambiri gave special acknowledgment to mothers, young women seeking direction, widows, entrepreneurs, single women, and those facing various challenges, emphasizing that each has an important place at the conference. "God is looking down on women today," she concluded.
