Representing the Burkinabe Financial Intermediation Company, Finance Director ‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬°lie Kiemtor© expressed his satisfaction after receiving the Super Taxpayer Award. He dedicated this distinction to the Director General and all the staff of his institution.
'We were not necessarily expecting this award, but we know that we have worked to support the Ministry of Finance and particularly the DGI in its digitalization process,' he stated. For his part, Somda Ireitora, designated a DGI Super Agent, received his award with emotion. For the tax inspector, this recognition is above all an invitation to redouble his efforts in service to the institution and the taxpayers.
According to the Director General of Taxes, Talato Eliane Djiguemd©/Ou©draogo, six years after its launch, the Excellence Award is no longer just a ceremony, but a legacy of her institution, an eagerly awaited event that reminds everyone that merit deserves to be seen, recognized and celebrated. She indicated that recognizing top performance is a powerful motivator for staff and contributes to the continuous improvement of the quality of services offered to taxpayers. She encouraged the award winners to remain role models and ambassadors of excellence within their respective organizations.
The head of the DGI also expressed her gratitude to the Minister of Economy and Finance for his support and assistance in organizing this ceremony. As a reminder, in 2025 the tax services mobilized more than 1,790 billion CFA francs in tax revenue, registering an increase of approximately 20% compared to the previous year. According to the Directorate General, these results reflect the institution's ability to strengthen the mobilization of internal resources needed to finance public policies and the country's development.
Ms. Djiguemd© also praised the daily commitment of DGI agents as well as the contribution of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) to the country's stabilization efforts. Through this ceremony, the DGI intends not only to reward individual and collective performances, but also to strengthen citizens' support for taxation, presented as an essential instrument for financing infrastructure, public services and national development.
