Burkina Faso’s Minister of Justice Achieves 99.09% Execution Rate in Performance Evaluation

Ouagadougou: The Minister of Justice, Edasso Rodrigue Bayala, affirmed on Monday in Ouagadougou, following the evaluation of his performance contract, that his department recorded an overall execution rate of 99.09% of activities as of December 31, 2025.

According to Burkina Information Agency, six objectives and twelve actions were assigned to the Ministry of Justice for the year 2025. Edasso Rodrigue Bayala highlighted the successful 'empty record' operation, which resulted in 8,743 cases being adjudicated in 55 days, significantly surpassing the annual average of 7,000 cases. He claimed that the ministry managed to complete work equivalent to three years within a single year.

The Minister emphasized the importance of ensuring access to justice for Burkinabe citizens, aiming for satisfaction in the quality of services provided. He stated that true success would be achieved when 99.99% of citizens seeking justice are satisfied with the services.

Bayala acknowledged the efforts of the ministry's staff, highlighting their dedication to overcoming challenges and fulfilling their missions. He also stressed the importance of various initiatives, including fighting crime, legal reforms, recognition of traditional marriage, and training for Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland on human rights.
