Ouagadougou: In his recent end-of-year address, President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, announced significant advancements in road infrastructure across Burkina Faso. He revealed that four regions had already received their road construction brigades in 2025, with plans for an additional four regions to be equipped by 2026.

According to Burkina Information Agency, President Traore emphasized the country's commitment to infrastructure development, highlighting the arrival of specialized earthmoving and paving equipment. He assured that the upcoming year would mark the beginning of constructing national and departmental roads alongside planned highways.

President Traore outlined a strategic shift in urban planning towards high-rise buildings, aiming to address urbanization challenges. He also emphasized the importance of incorporating health considerations in urban development to enhance city sanitation.

The President concluded by underscoring the importance of these initiatives in improving the quality of life for the citizens, promising that 2026 would usher in major urbanization projects to support sustainable and healthy living environments.
