Burkina: The National Fire Brigade awarded the Firefighters' Medal of Honor with a gold star to 12-year-old Tasseré Ouédraogo on Friday for his role in rescuing a six-year-old girl from a well. The remarkable rescue operation involved extracting the young girl from a 30-meter deep well with a diameter of just 60 centimeters.According to Burkina Information Agency, the narrowness of the well presented significant challenges for the firefighters, prompting them to seek assistance from Ouédraogo. With his parents' consent, the young boy was able to assist the firefighters in safely bringing both the little girl and himself back to the surface.
