President Ibrahim Traoré will strengthen the security system in the Center-North region, in order to better protect the populations against the terrorist threat, assured the Minister of Defense, Brigadier General Kassoum Coulibaly on Wednesday.A government team visited Mané, in the Centre-North region, on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, to listen to the concerns and challenges faced daily by residents."This direct dialogue is essential for the government to better understand the realities on the ground and adjust its strategies accordingly," said the Minister of Defense, Brigadier General Kassoum Coulibaly, accompanied by his colleagues Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo (Communication) and Amadou Dicko (Animal Resources).The general reiterated the firm commitment of the President of Faso, Ibrahim Traoré, to strengthen security measures in the region to better protect populations against the terrorist threat.He called on the populations to "join forces" to counter the terrorist threat and to distance thems elves from disinformation coming from social networks, which are today channels exploited by the enemy to discourage the fighting forces and the populations."The enemy does not sleep," declared Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo before inviting fighters and populations to fully invest in the construction of defense and protection works.The Spokesperson also encouraged people to tirelessly cultivate mutual aid and solidarity to ensure victory over terrorism. He stressed the importance of remaining united and resilient in these difficult times.The government delegation stressed the commitment of the Transitional authorities to listen to, support and protect all citizens.
