Ouagadougou: The Burkinabè state decided on Wednesday, during the weekly meeting of ministers, to transform 55 Health and Social Promotion Centers (CSPS) into communal medical centers in the 13 regions of the country in the framework of the presidential initiative.According to the Minister of State, Minister in charge of Communication, Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, the transformation of the 55 CSPS into municipal medical centers is the first of four components of the presidential initiative.Mr. Ouédraogo specified that the 2nd component is the construction and equipment of five anesthesia-resuscitation departments in hospitals.According to him, the third part of the program is the creation of a heart institute at the Tengandogo University Hospital Center.'The last component consists of making molecular diagnosis of breast cancer available in Burkina,' noted Minister Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo.He also noted that this presidential initiative is 'the materialization of the vision of the President of Faso to pr ovide answers, as quickly as possible, to a certain number of insufficiencies in terms of healthcare provision'.Source: Burkina Information Agency
