Burkina: Reconquest of the territory and Ramadan 2024 make the headlines of the day

Ouagadougou: The daily newspapers of this Tuesday echo Ramadan 2024 and the reconquest of the territory.

‘Reconquest of the territory: The head of state hands over air vectors to the armed forces,’ reads the state daily Sidwaya on its headline.

The newspaper reports that the President of State, Ibrahim Traoré yesterday handed over a large batch of air vectors to the Minister of Defense and Veterans as part of the fight against terrorism.

The public daily adds that these drones were developed by a Turkish company.

The private newspaper, Le Pays, for its part mentions that the President of the Transition thanked his Turkish counterpart for the support he provides to Burkina Faso during this crucial phase of its history.

The colleague also adds that the Minister of Defense and Veterans, Kassoum Coulibaly, reassured Captain Ibrahim Traoré of the wise use of the equipment received.

For its part, the newspaper Le Pays reports that the Federation of Islamic Associations of Burkina (FAIB) received a batch of food worth 2.6 million CFA francs yesterday Monday from the Embassy of the People’s Republic from China to Burkina.

The state daily Sidwaya for its part indicated that the festival will be celebrated on Wednesday April 10, 2024, according to a press release from the FAIB.
