Burkina / Samandeni Dam: The government plans to build an industrial village

Ouagadougou, As part of the development of the hydro-agricultural and hydroelectric dam of Samandeni, the Burkinabè government plans to build an industrial village, AIB learned on Friday.

The Minister in charge of Industry Harouna Kaboré announced Friday, before the National Assembly, the establishment, on an area of ​​500 ha, of an agro-industrial zone in the commune of Bama in the province of Houet.

This, within the framework of the development of the hydro-agricultural and hydroelectric dam of Samandeni.

“Of the 500 ha, 100 ha have been secured with a purge of all land rights as part of the integrated development plan of Samandeni and even a development plan has been drawn up for the creation of an agro-industrial village” he said.

In perspective, according to him, we can retain, among other things, the realization of basic development work, road and sanitation.

As well as the asphalting of the various desert roads, the installation of public lighting and the mobilization of the remaining 400 ha of the area.

Minister Harouna Kaboré, answered a question from the populations of Bobo-Dioulasso, asked during the accountability days of deputies held from July 1 to 4, 2021 in the city.

The industrial village will facilitate the transformation of agricultural, fish and market gardening production as well as the creation of market infrastructures around the Samandeni dam.
