Burkina: The National Volunteer Program and the National Fund for Non-Formal Education want to form a partnership

Ouagadougou: The Director General of the Public Interest Group-National Volunteer Program in Burkina Faso (GIP-PNVB), Djourmité Nestor Noufé, had discussions on Monday with his colleague from the National Volunteer Fund. non-formal education (FONAENF), Yombo Paul Diabouba with in perspective, a collaboration between the two structures, reports the communication services Public interest group - national volunteer program.After fruitful exchanges, the first officials of the two state structures identified avenues for collaboration, given the similarities revealed in the structuring of the two entities, notes the same source.To materialize the collaboration, it was agreed to develop a draft agreement between the GIP-PNVB, the FONAENF, the General Directorate of Non-Formal Education (DGENF) and the ministry in charge of health.This agreement will make it possible to mobilize volunteers for training in literacy and the conduct of income-generating activities. The target concerned could essentially be compose d of community-based health workers commonly called ASBCs.Furthermore, another partnership agreement will be developed to enter into a contract with FONAENF in order to recruit national volunteers to work in literacy centers. It should be noted that in 2023, FONAENF literate 61,175 young people, women and men.To achieve the signing of the agreements, a core group made up of those responsible for the two structures was formed whose role is to develop said draft agreements.It was on the proposal to create an exchange platform that the two Directors General closed the meeting with the firm conviction that the partnership between the GIP-PNVB and the FONAENF will see good days.Source: Burkina Information Agency
