Ouagadougou: The play 'So kill me' which addresses the issue of incest ended yesterday Thursday night in the rural commune of Saaba, a tour of 21 awareness shows for the benefit of children , young people and parents.The play tells the story of a young girl who was the victim of incest by her father when she was 6 years old. The play was performed in 21 locations in Ouagadougou and its peripheral communes such as Tanghin Dassouri and Pabré.The last show was presented yesterday evening Thursday July 4, 2024 in the rural commune of Saaba. She experienced strong mobilization.'When we performed, we felt that the audience was interested in the show. Through their reactions, we understood that they needed to be made aware of the subject of incest,' said the organizer, actress and artistic director of the company Pression Artistique Adjaratou Sawadogo.At the end of the show, exchanges took place between the public and the actress Adjaratou Sawadogo. Spectators asked questions and asked the event organizers t o come back with more messages to help them educate their children.The tour started last February at the National Police Academy, which is a partner of the organizers in raising awareness and the fight against incest. The project benefited from financial support from the French Institute of Ouagadougou.At the end of the 21-show tour, Adjaratou Sawadogo expressed his satisfaction. 'We went out to speak to women, men, young people and we recorded a large audience wherever we went. We had an audience that was attentive, hooked on the show and who didn't hesitate to ask questions after each show,' she said.The Saaba show recorded the presence of many women from the 'Protection, Mother, Child and Development' Association.'We watched the show, it was interesting.
