Burkina: “When you have eaten well, the rest becomes easy”, Prime Minister

Ouagadougou, Prime Minister Apollinaire Kyelem de Tambèla affirmed that the vision of President Ibrahim Traoré is to ensure that every Burkinabè eats his fill, before being able to defend or develop the country.

“President Ibrahim Traoré’s vision is to base our development on agriculture because when we have eaten well, the rest becomes easy,” Prime Minister Apollinaire Kyelem de Tambèla said on Friday.

He was speaking on Friday after a visit to the vast developed plain of Bagrépôle (Centre-East).

“We cannot ask someone who does not have enough to eat to work for the development of their country or to go and defend their country against terrorism. The first thing is to eat well,” added Me Apollinaire Kyelem from Tambèla.

The head of government also congratulated the researchers who were able to find varieties adapted to the climatic conditions of Burkina Faso.
