Ouagadougou: The young Burkinabe singer-songwriter and beatmaker Damssi 32GB has challenged those who refuse to commit to the liberation of the country with his new single, "Tond Zaabr©." The artist, whose real name is Adama Ser©, presented the single on Saturday, paying tribute to the nation's fighting forces while inviting those who are not involved in the struggle to "get the hell out."
According to Burkina Information Agency, Damssi 32GB has chosen to officially launch his career with a song that highlights the courage and determination of the country's Defense and Security Forces (FDS) as well as the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP). The single, 'Tond Zaabr©,' meaning 'our fight' in French, is an urban music video produced by Yirviel Production.
"These are our brothers who are fighting day and night. We must encourage them, prove to them that we are there for them and that we support them," Damssi stated, emphasizing the importance of standing by those defending the nation. The artist believes that being Burkinab¨ means prioritizing the homeland above all else, and there is no justification for refusing to support these fighters.
Born in Ouagadougou, Damssi 32GB developed a passion for dance and music at a young age, gaining recognition through school activities, closing ceremonies, and holiday entertainment. His dual path as a professional hairdresser alongside his artistic pursuits has instilled in him discipline, rigor, and a strong sense of community, which are crucial elements of his musical inspiration.
