Ouagadougou: A businessman, Sawadogo K. Issiaka, made a significant donation of food supplies to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) in Niangoloko. The philanthropic gesture was part of the reopening celebration of the renovated Somanagr Hotel. The donation was accepted by Oussni Oudraogo, the president of the special municipal delegation, and included 40 25kg bags of rice, 20 50kg bags of corn, along with a cash donation of 500,000 FCFA.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the act of generosity extended beyond the VDP, as Sawadogo also provided financial support to various communities. The Muslim, customary, Catholic, and Protestant communities in Niangoloko, as well as the community of Ouangolodougou in Ivory Coast, each received 100,000 FCFA.
Sawadogo encouraged the beneficiaries to offer blessings for the prosperity of his hotel and to pray for the country's leaders and the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and VDP, who are actively working to reclaim the national territory. He emphasized that security is crucial for the development of the hotel industry and economic activities.
