Ouagadougou: The Burkinabe state, a civil party in the so-called 'Ye Camille and others' trial, on Thursday demanded the joint and several liability of several defendants to pay more than 271 million CFA francs in financial compensation for the financial damage suffered.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the State requests, firstly, that the defendants Ye Camille, Yameogo Dimanche, Bonkoungou Lidye, and Sangare Issaka be jointly ordered to pay the sum of 86,200,000 CFA francs to the State, as compensation for the financial damage suffered.

Secondly, the State's legal agent requested that Zongo Bili, Pasco Bila, Ouedraogo Isma«l, and Laure Hien/Zongo be jointly and severally ordered to pay the sum of 135,000,000 CFA francs for the financial damages attributed to them.

Furthermore, the civil party requested that all the defendants, namely Ye Yake Camille, Yameogo Dimanche, Bonkoungou Lidye, Sangare Issaka, Laure Hien/Zongo, Bili Zongo, Pasco Bila, and Ouedraogo Isma«l, be jointly ordered to pay 50,000,000 CFA francs to the Burkinabe State as additional damages.

In addition, the State requested that the defendants be ordered to pay costs, as well as the costs incurred and not included in the costs, estimated at 10,000,000 CFA francs.
