CAN draw: ‘the next Stallions match will be played at the August 4 stadium’ (minister of sports)

Ouagadougou: The Minister of Sports, Youth and Employment Dr. Boubakar Savadogo declared Thursday in Ouagadougou that the Stallions of Burkina Faso who will start the CAN 2025 qualifying matches in Over the next few months, they will play at the August 4 stadium, still under rehabilitation.'The Etalons' next match will be played at the Stade du 4 Août. There was the draw for CAN 2025 which will be played in Morocco. The Stallions are in the same group as Senegal, Malawi and Burundi. The first day will be played in September. We will not go to anyone's house,' declared Minister Savadogo.He was speaking at the launch of the sports season of the Ministry of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, where he went to show his support to his colleague.The August 4 stadium, like stadiums in 21 other countries, had been suspended by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) because it no longer met international standards since March 2021.Work to rehabilitate th e infrastructure had begun and a promise had been made by the ministry in charge of sports to receive it next August, the 40th anniversary of its construction by the Republic of China.Source: Burkina Information Agency
