Ouagadougou: The Islamic Study, Research and Training Circle (CERFI) held a conference on Sunday in the conference room of the regional council to advocate for greater social justice in resolving the security crisis facing the country. This conference was led by the Imam of the Association of Muslim Students of Burkina Faso (AEEMB) and CERFI, Idrissa Ouoba, also a lawyer by training, on the theme: "Social justice, a guarantee of peace and social cohesion."
According to Burkina Information Agency, Imam Ouoba emphasized the importance of focusing on social justice during this period of security crisis. He urged the rulers to implement actions that benefit the population, such as improving access to water, basic necessities, health, and education.
In addition, Imam Ouoba encouraged the population to be law-abiding citizens who respect the country's laws and institutions by taking proactive initiatives. "In the face of adversity that we may encounter in our communities, it is important that people keep the faith, remain calm, and continue to uphold the values of solidarity, integrity, transparency, and mutual aid," the imam said.
The speaker of the day, Imam Ouoba, strongly advocated for more social justice as a solution to the security crisis the country is experiencing. The ceremony was sponsored by El Hadj Basile Aboubacar Oubda, the Inspector of Primary Education and consultant for the NGO Humanity and Inclusion (HI), and co-sponsored by Abdoul Aziz Yameogo, a treasury officer serving at the Presidency of Faso.
