Charles Kabor© Foundation Launches Eye Health Campaign for Women of Green Brigade

Bobo-dioulasso: The Charles Kabor© Foundation, in collaboration with the NGO Good Vision, initiated an eye health awareness campaign targeting women of the Sya green brigade. This event took place on Wednesday, April 8, at Bobo-Dioulasso City Hall and included the distribution of corrective lenses to the women involved, according to sources close to the ambassador for sport.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative was themed "Seeing Clearly to Better Serve the City" and is part of the health initiatives championed by the Charles Kabor© Foundation. The aim of the campaign is to acknowledge the contributions of these women, who are often overlooked despite their significant efforts.

The president of the Charles Kabor© Foundation emphasized the importance of the work done by the women of the Green Brigade, stating that their contributions are considerable but largely unrecognized. For the initial phase of the program, 1,100 women are participating, with over 800 receiving free corrective eyeglasses.

The country director of NGO Good Vision highlighted that the corrective glasses provided are produced entirely in Burkina Faso, supporting local manufacturing and employment. The ceremony saw attendance from notable figures, including the Governor of the Guiriko region, the president of the special delegation of Bobo-Dioulasso municipality, and the representative of the commander of the second military region.
