Kampti/education: In a dynamic of openness to public institutions and promotion of civic responsibility, the students of the Catholic school Sainte Ther¨se de l'Enfant Jesus in Kampti carried out, on March 18, 2026, an educational visit to the Customs office of the locality.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this initiative led by the school's director, Mr. Appolinaire K. Some, aimed to introduce learners to the core missions of the State and the functioning of public services. Director Some emphasized that the visit was designed to "awaken students' intellectual curiosity and inspire them to pursue careers in service to the nation," highlighting that education should extend beyond the classroom to engage with the community, cultivating responsible citizens aware of development challenges and committed to the common good.
On behalf of the students, Ma«va Sanou expressed gratitude to the Customs officials for their availability and the warm welcome they received. She offered blessings, imploring for health, protection, and success for the officials in their duties.
Customs Controller Maxime Bouda, deputy head of office, praised the educational initiative, stating it strengthens students' knowledge beyond the school setting. He thanked the teaching staff for choosing their service and encouraged parents to support teachers in ensuring continuous, high-quality training.
Bouda also appealed for civic vigilance, urging the public to report any suspicious activity related to fraud or sensitive activities that could jeopardize Customs operations and the national economy to appropriate authorities.
This visit is part of a broader approach to bringing schools and public services closer together, aiming to shape a better informed, disciplined youth committed to building a responsible society.
