Balav©: The community watch group of Balav©, a town situated 25 kilometers from Solenzo, has made a significant contribution to the local Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) by donating essential supplies and funds. The group provided 10 engine blocks, 17 bags of rice weighing 25 kilograms each, 7 bags of corn weighing 100 kilograms each, and a monetary donation of 50,000 CFA francs. The total value of these contributions amounted to 2,003,500 CFA francs.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Arouna Sawadogo, the municipal coordinator of citizen vigilance, explained that the purpose of this donation is to empower the VDP to effectively protect the local population and to lend support to the families of those who have lost their lives in defense of the community.
The successful organization of this donation event was credited to the collective efforts of the people of Balav©, who turned out in large numbers to participate in the ceremony.
Jules Kabor©, the President of the special delegation of Balav©, expressed gratitude towards the donors for their support. He urged the residents to foster cooperation among the community members to ensure communal prosperity.
The ceremony also saw traditional and religious leaders offering blessings to the defense and security forces, the volunteers, and the entire nation, with hopes for the restoration of peace in Burkina Faso.
