Houet: The National Coordination of Citizen Watch Associations (CNAVC) of P©ni, in collaboration with the provincial section of Houet, organized a flag-raising ceremony on Monday, February 16, 2026, at schools A and B in the municipality. This event marked the commencement of a series of civic actions aimed at instilling patriotic values among students.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative was spearheaded by the municipal president, Khalifa Ouattara. It aims to inculcate values of discipline, commitment, and patriotism in students, who are seen as future leaders of the country. The ceremony was attended by administrative authorities, supervisors, and students, all gathering around the national flag, which serves as a symbol of unity and social cohesion.
Korogo Belemsigri, the second vice-president of the special delegation of P©ni, expressed support for the initiative and highlighted the significance of respecting national colours as a foundation for responsible citizenship.
The event was further graced by the presence of the provincial president of the CNAVC, Zakaria Sor©, and Omar Traor©, the representative to the President of Burkina Faso for the Guiriko region. In his address, Mr. Traor© encouraged students to embrace discipline, rigor, and a love of country, aligning with President Ibrahim Traor©'s vision. He urged them to dedicate themselves fully to their studies to contribute to the nation's development.
