Colette Ou©draogo Takes Office as Secretary General of Burkina Ministry of Sports

Ouagadougou: Colette Ou©draogo was installed Monday evening as Secretary General at the Ministry of Sports, Youth and Employment (MSJE) during a ceremony presided over by the head of the department, Roland Somda, noted the AIB.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Ms. Ou©draogo, a certified physical education and sports teacher, succeeds Mr. Lo© Adama Traor©, who has held the position for two years. Her appointment, which took place during the Council of Ministers on June 4, 2025, marks an important step in the administrative management of the ministry.

Minister Roland Somda praised Mr. Traor©'s efforts and commitment, while encouraging Ms. Ou©draogo to continue the momentum. He emphasized the importance of pooling efforts to meet the aspirations of Burkinabe youth and those involved in the sports sector.

In her speech, Ms. Ou©draogo expressed her gratitude and determination to implement modern and inclusive governance. She promised to prioritize dialogue and collaboration to successfully carry out the ministry's projects.

The ceremony took place in the presence of the directors general and members of the ministry's cabinet, as well as many other guests.
