Community Unites to Clean Dawelgu Health Center

Dawelgu:Sapon: Residents of Doumtenga and Dawelgu gathered on Friday, September 25, 2026, to clean and weed the courtyard of the Dawelgu Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS).According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative, led by the Management Committee (COGES), began with the sound of a drum, rallying local residents. Equipped with machetes and hoes, men and young people came together to remove overgrown weeds and shrubs, aiming to support staff in maintaining hygiene at the health facility.This community effort is part of broader measures to prevent and control larvae, especially crucial during the rainy season, which is known for a higher transmission rate of certain diseases.The healthcare staff welcomed the community's involvement, viewing it as a strong demonstration of local commitment to health. The weed-clearing activity was characterized by a lively and friendly atmosphere, with participants engaging in the task enthusiastically, accompanied by drumming, laughter, and camaraderie . The day concluded with a group photo, marking the end of the second cleaning day organized by the COGES office.
