Sissili: The best students, teachers, schools, and educational supervisors of the Basic Education District (CEB) of Niangoloko were rewarded on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at a ceremony celebrating academic excellence initiated by the sons and daughters of the commune, through the class of 1968.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the multipurpose hall in Niangoloko was packed for this ceremony recognizing academic merit, organized with the support of local people gathered in the class of 1968, represented by a delegation led by Faki¨ Daniel H©ma. The ceremony was presided over by the first vice-president of the special delegation of the commune, Alphonse Sirima, in the presence of notable figures such as the head of mission of the President of Faso for the Tannounyan region, Ibrahim Kob©, the provincial director of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education of Como©, Mamadou H©ma, several heads of Basic Education Districts (CCEB), and representatives of Burkina Mining.
In total, five bicycles and about a hundred school kits were awarded to the top-performing students in the Primary School Certificate (CEP), intermediate classes, and preschool. To encourage production activities in schools, the two best school gardens, those of Kimini school and Niangoloko Sud A school, received wheelbarrows, watering cans, and various gardening equipment.
The ceremony also honored the three best teachers in the CEB, each receiving a tablet and a bag. The first prize was awarded to a teacher from Niangoloko Espoir A school, where all 94 students who took the CEP exam succeeded, achieving a 100% success rate. This school was also recognized as the best in the CEB and received a tablet.
Additionally, educational supervisors were presented with letters of commendation from the president of the special delegation, Ouss©ni Ou©draogo, acknowledging their dedication. Certificates of appreciation were given by the head of the Niangoloko CEB, Hamidou Traor©, to those who contributed to organizing the first edition of this event.
Mr. Traor© praised the initiative, stating that the ceremony reflects the community's recognition of teachers and aligns with the national vision of promoting excellence in education. He emphasized that the awards and ceremony were entirely financed by the sons and daughters of Niangoloko, showcasing an exemplary model of community mobilization in support of education.
