Ouagadougou: This Friday’s dailies echo the celebration of Sidwaya’s 40th anniversary as well as the change in the name of certain public universities without forgetting the budget allocated to communication in times of crises and war decided during the council of ministers this Thursday.
‘Council of Ministers: 500 million for communication in times of crisis and war’, announces the dean of private daily newspapers L’Observateur Paalga on its front page.
The newspaper reports that on behalf of the ministry in charge of communication, the council of ministers adopted yesterday a report relating to the implementation of specific projects for the year 2025.
The daily Le Pays adds that this involves, among other things, the recruitment of corporate communication agencies IM PRINT on the one hand, for the implementation of communication in times of crisis for an amount of 100,000,000 F CFA and other parts, for the implementation of the war communications strategy for an amount of 400,000,000 F CFA.

tinues that it was also decided that the company Kanazoé et Frères and the company Kéré Architecture SARL will take care of the construction project of the mausoleum of the Isidore Noël Thomas Sankara memorial.
In another register, the private daily Le Pays writes on its headline: ‘Higher education: public universities now bear the names of personalities’.
The same newspaper informs that during yesterday’s council of ministers a decree was adopted naming the public universities of Fada N’Gourma, Ouahigouya and Dédougou which will now bear the names of Burkinabè personalities.
The public newspaper underlines that thus the University of Fada N’Gourma becomes Yembila Abdoulaye-Toguyeni University, the University of Ouahigouya becomes Lédéa-Bernard-Ouédraogo while the University of Dédougou becomes Daniel Ouézzin Coulibaly University.
