Koulse: The Council of Ministers has adopted a decree to expropriate a disputed plot of land in the Koulse region for a project of general interest. This decision was made during a session held on Thursday, November 6. The expropriation is intended to facilitate military works, as declared by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the decree identifies the land located between the villages of Zaonna/Saori in the Mane department, Sandbondtenga province, and Yilou in the Guibare department, Bam province, as an area of urgent public utility. The Minister of State for Territorial Administration, Emile Zerbo, commented on the decree, stating that all current occupants must vacate the premises immediately. He noted that this decision would extend to all similar situations in the future.
The session, where this decree was adopted, was presided over by the President of Faso, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traore.
