Cyclists Prepare for 2026 Tour du Faso Training

Bobo-Dioulasso:Twenty pre-selected cyclists are rigorously training for the upcoming 37th edition of the Tour International du Faso 2026. These riders are under the guidance of national coach Jrmie Oudraogo as they gear up for the prestigious event.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Burkinabe Cycling Federation (FBC) announced that the training commenced in early October. The cyclists will continue their preparation with a journey to Bobo-Dioulasso, starting on October 8, with a planned stop in Boromo before reaching their destination on October 9.

Further preparations will occur in Sapon following the Grand Prix Hôtel Excellence, scheduled for October 18. Paul Daumont, the current holder of the yellow jersey and a key competitor from Burkina Faso, is expected to join the team for the final phase of training.

The Tour International du Faso is set to take place from October 30 to November 8. The list of 20 cyclists includes athletes from various teams AJCK, AS Bessel, USFA, and MAKAFA, featuring riders such as Wahab Bouda, Daouda Soulama, and Bamassi Soulama, among others.
