Defense Minister Urges Campers to Respect State Symbols


Ouagadougou: The Minister of State, Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs, Brigadier General Celestin SIMPORE, visited the Faso Mebo Holiday Camp in Ouagadougou as a guest personality to address the participants of the camp’s second wave.



According to Burkina Information Agency, Brigadier General SIMPORE spoke to the campers about the importance of unity, living together, and patriotism. He emphasized the significance of the army uniform, noting that the root word “uni” in “uniform” symbolizes the unity that should bind those who wear the army’s colors. The Brigadier General stressed that unity and cohesion are vital for building a strong nation.



The Minister of State also urged the campers to respect the flag and other state symbols, and to embody discipline and hard work in their lives. He highlighted the necessity of being tireless workers to contribute to Burkina Faso’s progress. Brigadier General SIMPORE encouraged the campers to have aspirations in life and to work diligently towards achieving them. He assured the participants that his department, under the President’s guidance, is committed to reclaiming the entire national territory to ensure that all children in Burkina Faso have the opportunity to attend school freely.
