The Deputy Minister of Transport, Ms Dikeledi Magadzi and Deputy Minister of Water and Sanitation, Mr David Mahlobo will visit the Mangaung Municpality as part of their District Development Model (DDM) deployment by Cabinet, as district champions. The visit will take place on the 15th June 2021.
Members of the media are therefore invited to join the Deputy Ministers on this visit.
The purpose of this visit is to follow up on progress made by the municipality since the last visit in September 2020. This time around the focus will be on COVID 19, Gender Based Violence and other service delivery related issues to be escalated by the stakeholders.
The Deputy Minsters will undertake engagements with Non-Governmental Organisations, Community Policing Forums, Religious leaders and other key Stakeholder on Covid-19 and Gender Based Violence challenges in the Mangaung Metro.
District Champions are tasked to assist the President and Deputy President to manage the implementation of the District Development Model to enhance the capacity of the State where it matters.
