Director of National Police Advocates for Expansion of Community Work Initiatives in Namentenga

Namentenga: The Director of the National Police wants the implementation of work of common interest in other areas

The provincial director of the national police of Namentenga, Chief Police Commissioner Olivier Baguimzanr©, expressed the hope that the Works of Common Interest (TIC) established by the authorities be implemented in other areas for the harmonious development of Burkina Faso.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the provincial director emphasized the importance of order and discipline as essential moral values on a socio-professional and cultural level. The Chief Police Commissioner explained that the government's recent measure to have offending road users clean out gutters and unsanitary places has been welcomed and has shown results.

Mr. Baguimzanr© remarked on the constant observation of cases of indiscipline and disorder in various aspects of life, including schools, services, and traffic. He indicated that these cases could be subject to reprimand and fines in accordance with existing regulations. However, understanding the challenges of future actions, he prioritized awareness-raising in collaboration with relevant structures.

Olivier Baguimzanr© highlighted that Burkina Faso is in pursuit of its cultural identity, dignity, true sovereignty, and sustainable development among nations. He stressed that these goals cannot be achieved amidst widespread incivility. He noted that great nations have developed through discipline and order.

Mr. Baguimzanr© called on socio-professional groups to support the government in its efforts to promote the well-being of the population through awareness-raising and leading by example.
