Djibasso: The opening of the 2025-2026 sports season for the Djibasso Basic Education District (CEB) took place this Saturday, February 7, 2026, on the municipal field. Djibasso A School won the opening match of the season, defeating Djibasso C School 1-0.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB) of Djibasso, Pascal Coulibaly, initiated the kick-off, leading to an intense midfield battle. Djibasso C School dominated much of the play, exerting pressure yet failing to secure a lead.

Amid the tense gameplay, Odilon Dakio of Djibasso A seized an opportunity from a defensive misstep, scoring the only goal and thrilling his supporters. Despite persistent attempts by Djibasso C, the score remained unchanged until the match concluded.
