Ouagadougou: The Minister in charge of Tourism, PingdwendeGilbert Ouedraogo, visited the eco-tourism garden of Karpala on Sunday afternoon. The garden is an initiative by the visual artist Brahima Komi, who is also known as Komi Art.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the garden was built on a former dump and now provides an attractive setting that includes artificial reliefs, waterfalls, and a variety of wildlife, featuring both wild and domestic animals. The transformation from a dump to a thriving eco-tourism site is a testament to the creativity and determination of the artist.
Minister Ouedraogo praised the artist for fully financing the project and highlighted the garden’s role in promoting domestic tourism and enhancing the beauty of the capital. The Karpala garden, located near the town hall of district n°11, has become a new space for relaxation and discovery for both residents and visitors of Ouagadougou.
