Burkina faso: "Cohesion between our Defense and Security Forces is a strategic lever for achieving the objectives," said the Minister of Economy and Finance, Dr. Aboubacar Nacanabo, inviting the various forces to greater commitment to achieving the objectives in 2026.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the government delegation, which included the Minister in charge of the Budget, Fatoumata Bako/Traore, the Minister in charge of Livestock, Dr. Amadou Dicko, regional and municipal authorities, as well as officials from all the Defense and Security Forces, embarked on a tour of several structures in the capital. The delegation began its visit at the Directorate General of Customs, where Dr. Nacanabo conveyed the message of the Head of State, emphasizing cohesion among the Defense and Security Forces. He extended congratulations and encouragement from the President of Faso for the achievements in 2025.

The minister expressed his satisfaction with the customs officers' efforts, noting their role in the record mobilization of resources in 2025, which was crucial in achieving national objectives. He highlighted their contribution to the fight against terrorism and encouraged them to maintain their dedication in 2026.

Furthermore, Dr. Nacanabo visited the municipal police, commending their efforts in ensuring city security and reducing insecurity, which is particularly important during the holiday season. He emphasized their role in improving traffic flow and supporting peaceful celebrations.

At the Directorate General of Water and Forests, the minister acknowledged the hard work of those protecting natural resources and contributing to anti-terrorism efforts. He encouraged these "everyday heroes" to continue their efforts in 2026.

The government delegation also visited the Sangoule Lamizana camp to honor the courage of those wounded in operations. Dr. Nacanabo praised their efforts in reclaiming territories for population resettlement and wished them a speedy recovery.

The minister concluded the tour at the airbase, reviewing acquisitions and promising further resources to strengthen the air force. He stressed the importance of a powerful air force in making a significant difference on the ground. The visit ended with a shared meal with air force personnel.
