Education Stakeholders in Oronkua Urged to Enhance Efforts

Oronkua:The Provincial Director of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education (DPEPPNF) of Ioba, Tibouo-ion Romaric Som, has called for education stakeholders in the Oronkua Basic Education District (CEB) to consolidate their achievements and intensify efforts to improve academic performance.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Tibouo-ion Romaric Som made these remarks during the general assembly of the CEB staff held at the "A" school in Oronkua. The event was attended by Ahouranib Paulin Som, head of the primary education service (SEPrim), and Dabou Boni, head of the examinations and competitions service (SEC).

The meeting, initiated by Nibbalaon Dabir, head of the Oronkua CEB, aimed to establish contact, review the 2025-2026 school year, discuss official back-to-school instructions, and consider prospects for the 2026-2027 school year.

During the workshop, pedagogical supervisors summarized support and monitoring activities for teachers, highlighting achievements, challenges, and guidelines to enhance the quality of teaching and learning. Som commended the stakeholders' efforts and encouraged greater dedication, solidarity, and professionalism in their responsibilities.

Comrade Som emphasized the need for educational reforms, including bi-plurilingualism and teaching in students' native languages in all first-year preparatory classes (CP1). He also urged stakeholders to support establishing dedicated literacy centers.

He advised teaching staff to use social networks responsibly, promoting them as tools for training, communication, and disseminating useful information. Discussions also addressed the operational challenges faced by the CEB and potential solutions to improve working conditions and academic performance.

In conclusion, a letter of congratulations was presented to the head of the Oronkua CEB, and teachers with a 100% pass rate during the 2025-2026 session were acknowledged. The DPEPPNF invited education stakeholders in Ioba to participate in the Faso Mbo activities on October 3, 2026, in Dano, and thanked the Prefect of Oronkua, Mr. Kiswend Victor Dondyr, for his support.
