educational and professional guidance: Sahel winners made aware of study possibilities after their diplomas

Ouagadougou: The regional directorate of post-primary and secondary education (DRES) of the Sahel organized information, educational and professional guidance days (JIOSP) in Dori for the benefit of the winners of the CEP, BEP, BEPC and Baccalaureate exams session 2024.These JIOSPs, placed under the theme 'Orientation and motivation in school learning', aim to help those admitted to make useful and informed choices for their school and university orientations.According to the regional director of post-primary and secondary education (DRES) of the Sahel, Mr. Salifou Porgo, the difficulties of professional integration encountered by certain young people in our country could be explained by the mismatch between the profile of graduates and the offers jobs available.Mr. Porgo explained that the fairly high failure rate that certain school and university structures often experience is sometimes due to an unsuccessful orientation. This is why, according to him, it seemed necessary that the new winners of the various exams of this session be sufficiently informed about the different training courses and the job offers available depending on the training profiles. The governor of the Sahel region, Lieutenant-Colonel Fabien Rodolphe Sorgho, urged the winners to take ownership of these days and to follow with great interest the communications from guidance counselors in order to make reasoned, bold and ambitious choices. with the aim of embarking on a successful school and university course, then a successful professional career. He also asked parents to support the winners, listen to them and take their aspirations into account in order to enable them to make useful choices. The representative of the Director General of the Private Press Support Fund, sponsor of these days, Mr. Amadou Diallo, hoped that they would result in great opportunities for the winners. These days will take place on July 8 and 9, 2024.
