Ouagadougou: The President of Faso, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAOR€°, joined soldiers in performing the Tabaski prayer, Ad El K©bir, this morning. This act was a gesture of solidarity with all the fighting forces of the nation.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Head of State emphasized the unifying role of religion after the prayer. He reminded everyone that religion should foster unity and enhance love for others and the homeland. Captain Ibrahim TRAOR€° asserted that the Defense and Security Forces derive their faith from religion, which also instills in them a love for their neighbor and their homeland, motivating them to fight with dedication.
The President of Faso highlighted the significance of praying with the fighters, stating it sends a message to the entire nation about using religion as a tool for unity rather than division.
Ahead of the *Tabaski* prayer, President TRAOR€° shared a message on social media expressing gratitude to the Muslim faithful in Burkina Faso and the Diaspora for their contributions to peace and security. He urged all Burkinabe to foster religious tolerance and strengthen social cohesion and unity, which are vital for building a strong and sovereign nation.
