Ziniare:Oubri El Hadj Mahamadi Ouedraogo has been re-elected for another five-year term as president of the regional office of the Sunni Movement of Oubri. His re-election took place on October 24, 2026, in Ziniare, following the organization's ordinary general assembly.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the decision to retain Ouedraogo was influenced by the satisfactory record of the past term as deemed by party members. The regional office has raised over ninety-six million CFA francs during this period.

The assessment also highlighted the good relations maintained by the structure with the administration and its commitment in several sectors of activity. This progress was acknowledged by the delegation from the national office attending the general assembly. Abdoul Aziz Compaore, head of the delegation, noted that the Oubri regional office is among the three most dynamic regional offices.

For his new term, El Hadj Mahamadi Ouedraogo plans to continue ongoing actions and address numerous pending projects. He has called for the community's support to achieve these goals. The general assembly was attended by the representative of the governor of the Oubri region.
